Diego Fernandez is a Solutions Architect and Senior Software Engineer at Kaufman Hall, a healthcare financial consulting firm. As a lead engineer, Mr. Fernandez develops and implements solutions to enhance the product’s capabilities. Mr. Fernandez has more than 18 years of experience developing software and enterprise systems. Previous to KHA, he led development of various projects as a Solutions Architect at the Tribune Company in Chicago. He currently is a part-time instructor at Northeastern Illinois University, where he teaches software engineering courses for both the undergraduate and graduate programs.
Graduated in 1995 form FIU, and started his career in multimedia development the same year. He worked for a consulting company until 2003, when he switched to enterprise software development at Campus Management Corp. As a Senior Technical Architect, he designed service oriented systems to facilitate the migration of legacy products to new platforms. After moving to Chicago in 2009, Diego Fernandez worked at CSG as a Software Architect where he designed and implemented components for enterprise systems.
Mr. Fernandez has an M.S. in Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University in Florida. He holds numerous software industry certifications including Microsoft Certified Professional Developer certification for Enterprise Applications Developer, and Certified Technology Specialist certifications for Web, Distributed and Windows applications.
